The Civil War Period

England, one of the dream countries in the world, actually seen worse days. Actually, maybe worse days for the the people who run the country. There were wars, conflicts,dictators, even execution of the king himself when people had their own ambitions. Actually why i like literature this much because it has very different way of connecting our today lives with history. When i'm in the class i can review both the literature and history at the same time. While we were reviewing the civil war period, what made me curious about this period actually was a person named Oliver Cromwell. After being invited by his fellow leaders to rule the country as Lord Protector and did it using the way of a dictatorship, his corpse hung up in chains and beheaded. This was really a strange thing for me.
To sum up the history has a really strong connections with literature and it makes me really happy that we can learn both in our literature classes.
